The fifth Congress of the European Academy of Neurology (EAN) will take place in Oslo, Norway from 29 June to 2 July 2019. More than 6000 neurologists from all over the world will get together at the EAN to communicate and exchange newly gained knowledge about all kinds of neurological diseases.
The Program Committee is going to prepare a program with high quality scientific sessions meeting the hot spots of development and attractive teaching courses covering topics which are most important for the practicing neurologist. Diversified topics will be addressed by leading international experts in the different neurological fields.
2019’s venue will be Oslo, capital of Norway. The city is bubbly, busy and touristic. Every year, the renowned Nobel Price is being awarded in Oslo’s city hall, a big cube with massive red-brick architecture. In fact, Oslo has to offer a lot of interesting architecture. The city opened a spectacular opera house in 2008 directly located by the shore of the fjord. The charm of Oslo can also be found in the affluent inner-city suburbs of for instance Frogner and Fagerborg as well as above St.Hanshaugen park. Northern Europe has a distinct wooden houses tradition. Wooden houses are not allowed downtown, but these charming houses can be found in large numbers in villa suburbs. Nearly 40 islands belong to the cit of Oslo with most of them offering public bathing areas.
The capital of Norway is located at the head end of the Norwegian Baltic coast, but also at the shores of a rather modest streamlet rippling through the city. Vår Frelsers Cemetery, north of city center on Ullevålsveien holds the graves of Edvard Munch and Henrik Ibsen, two important cultural figures in Norway’s history. It is also the burial site of a host of reputed Norwegian individuals and families.
