The 42nd European Society of Cardiology (ESC) congress will take place in Paris, France at the end of August 2019.
The ESC is the world’s largest cardiovascular congress with over 500 experts sessions and more than 10 800 abstracts submitted contributing to the advancement of cardiovascular medicine worldwide.
40 years of PCI” is the spotlight of the ESC Congress 2017 in Barcelona. It will highlight the influence of PCI on all areas of cardiology.
Furthermore, new ESC Clinical Practice Guidelines – STEMI management, valvular heart disease, peripheral artery disease and focused update on dual antiplatelet therapy – majority of these relating to interventional cardiology will be released during the congress.
The congress venue Paris is the capital of France, the so called “City of Light”. The city center consists of 20 districts – the so-called arrondissements. These are numbered from 1 to 20 and are arranged spirally clockwise around the center. An arrondissement consists of four sub-quarters, the quartiers. The Eiffel Tower is the most famous landmark of Paris. It was built in 1889 by Gustave Eiffel to the then world exhibition. It is visited annually by more than 3 million visitors. On the tower are three viewing platforms at 57, 115 and 274 meters high.
Moulin Rouge is a famous vaudevilles and the home of Cancan. Moulin Rouge is located in the Montmartre district and can be connected with a visit to the cemetery, Sacré Coeur and the small streets of the district. Paris is classified as THE home of top gastronomy but due to the colonial past, there are also numerous Arab or African influences.
