Medical Congress of Rheumatology
The Medical Rheumatology Congress is usually held in June in one of the major cities in Europe. 2020’s venue will be Frankfurt, a dynamic city in south west Germany, hosting the congress from 03. – 06. June.
Since its introduction in 2000, the Annual European Congress of Rheumatology has become the primary platform of educational and social exchange between professionals, involved in rheumatology, in Europe.
It is also a renowned facilitator to stimulate innovative basic and clinical research projects in rheumatic and musculoskeletal diseases.
The Medical Congress of Rheumatology is a truly pan-European organization stimulating a multitude of activities in areas of research, patient care, and education. The league does not only aim to reduce the burden of rheumatic diseases on the individual and society but also to improve the treatment, prevention and rehabilitation of musculoskeletal diseases.
Meetings set up by associations of people with arthritis/rheumatism, health professionals and the health care industry complement the program.
The scientific program at the congress covers a wide range of topics on clinical innovations, clinical, transnational and basic science.
The congress venue, Frankfurt, is the economic center of Germany. Some people even refer to it as the smallest metropolis in the world.
Although the main theme of Frankfurt might be the industry, the city also offers a lot of cultural enjoyment in various domains. People interested in literature and poetry can for example visit the birthplace of the german poet Johann Wolfgang von Goethe and people interested in Art and architecture will probably enjoy the famous Skyline with the high-rise buildings or the unique collection of 13 museums on the other side of the Main exhibiting different works of art, from classical paintings to modern media.
It is a city where people from different cultures have lived in peace with one another for a long time and this liberal and democratic tradition may be one reason for the open and hospitable atmosphere.
Last but not least Frankfurt has an impressive Skyline, which lead to the nickname “Mainhattan”, but offers also a lot of parks and green spaces that invites visitors to take a break from the daily hectic space.
