The European Congress of Clinical Microbiology and Infectious Diseases, in short ECCMID, is organizing their 35rd gathering on 12-15 April 2025 in Vienna, Austria. ECCMID takes place annually and is recognized by academia, the clinical setting and industry as the largest European congress for the presentation and discussion of research in the fields of clinical microbiology and infection. Initially a biannual congress, ECCMID became an annual event after taking place in Berlin in 1999. ECCMID now attracts around 10,000 participants every year. The number of submitted abstracts has risen to over 3,000 of which 65% are accepted for oral or poster presentation.
