EURETINA
EURETINA started life as the European Retina, Macula and Vitreous Society in June 2000. Since then, the society has grown to over 3,500 members and the annual Congress attracts thousands of delegates. Their goal is to enable access to the same cutting-edge retina science worldwide. They believe, together avoidable blindness can be prevented. The 23rd congress of the European Society of Retina Specialists 2023; (EURETINA) will take place from 05 – 08 October 2023, in Amsterdam, Netherlands.
The host city of EURETINA 2026 is Vienna, the capital of Austria. It is one of the most charming cities in Central Europe. Nearly one third of Austrians live in its commuter belt. This makes Vienna the cultural, economic, and political center of the country. In 2001, UNESCO declared the city a World Heritage Site. Vienna shaped European music and is the birthplace of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. It is also known for its cuisine, including Wiener Schnitzel, Sachertorte, and apple strudel. From 2005 to 2010, Vienna ranked as the world’s top congress destination. Today, the city attracts more than 3.7 million tourists every year.
