The Annual Meeting and International Liver Congress 2026 will be held from 24 – 27 June in Barcelona, Spain.

The EASL 2026 will take place in Barcelona, the capital of Catalonia. Barcelona is a Mediterranean, cosmopolitan city with Roman remains and charming medieval quarters. It also showcases some of the most beautiful examples of 20th-century Modernism and Avant-Garde architecture. Moreover, world-famous Catalan architects such as Antoni Gaudí and Lluís Domènech i Montaner have shaped the city. UNESCO has declared many of their buildings World Heritage Sites.
The city of Barcelona is full of music, colour and joy. It celebrates cherished traditions like the fiestas of La Mercè and the neighbourhood festivals in Gràcia, Sants and Poblenou. In addition, Barcelona’s creative food scene is known for its mix of tradition and modern style. The cuisine uses fresh garden produce, fish, sausages, olive oil, handmade cakes and pastries, sparkling wines and many other delights. As you stroll through the city, you will find surprises at every turn. Pedestrian streets, green spaces and a lively seafront with modern facilities all show Barcelona’s multifaceted character. At the same time, the city honours its past and looks confidently to the future. It also offers excellent venues for seminars and international events.
