Overview of the event

The 21st World Congress of the World Association for Dynamic Psychiatry (WADP) will take place from March 22–26, 2027, at the University of Vienna, Austria. The congress will be held in conjunction with the XXXIVth International Symposium of the German Academy for Psychoanalysis (DAP).

Under the theme “Identity: Person, Group, Society – Implications for Psychotherapy and Psychiatry,” the WADP Congress 2027 will explore the complex relationship between individual and collective identity. Moreover, the programme will bring together researchers, clinicians and students from around the world. Lectures, symposia and workshops will provide opportunities for scientific exchange, interdisciplinary dialogue and professional networking.
