The current European Society of Anaesthesiology and Intensive Care was founded on the 1st of January in 2005 under the name European Society of Anaesthesiology through the merger of three pre-existing European anaesthesiology societies. As a member of the BioMed Alliance, the society is committed to advancing excellence in European biomedical research and innovation, with the aim of improving the health and well-being of citizens across Europe.
The Euroanaesthesia Congress 2027 will take place in Copenhagen, Denmark from the 29th to the 31st of May.
