…indoors with creativity and fun for everyone

The famous corporate Christmas party happens again – like Christmas itself – every year! And with it the question of how best to entertain employees and friends of the company. In addition to say thanks for a year of successful work, entertainment and team spirit should not be neglected. We would like to share a few traditional ideas on this topic here!

Advent Wreath Weaving
Instead of buying a ready-made wreath, one can perfectly well create an own wreath out of pine branches, berries, pine cones, nuts, bows and candles. Divided into groups, each of which is given a motto for the wreaths to be designed, the creativity can begin. The team has to choose from a pool of decoration material what to use and what corresponds to the motto. The group that best implements their theme wins and the resulting wreaths can be placed around the office or in common areas to create a festive atmosphere and remind the team of a lovely evening together!

Christmas Cookie Bakery
Baking cookies together is a popular Christmas activity for teams. Dressed in unitary aprons, with a chef’s hat on the head, the battle can begin using flour, butter, sugar, rolling pin, icing, cookie cutters and piping bags. Some are responsible for the cinnamon stars, others for the vanilla crescents, rum balls and butter cookies are also a must. The team that baked  the most decorative and tastiest cookies won. Afterwards, everyone can take a colorful assortment of baked goods home or better even start eating cookies right away while drinking spicy mulled wine!

Making Christmas Tree Decorations
The biggest surprise (or disappointment?) probably will be the undecorated fir trees in the room at the beginning of the party! But – that is also the challenge for the team that evening. Divided into groups around a fir tree, each provided with straw, colorful ribbons, cones, angel hair and multicolored foil, they get to work decorating the Christmas tree. Of course – the most beautiful tree will win a prize! And then each team can decide where their tree can be donated to, be it a children’s home, retirement home, hospital or similar!

Gingerbread House Building
The social aspect during the Christmas season is certainly an important one and, above all, always helps to bring the team together. Gingerbread houses are ideal for donating to children’s institutions.
The team initially separates into small groups working on baking and decorating the gingerbread pieces that serve as building blocks for the gingerbread house. The house is then built, finally decorated and presented to the jury. Stability and appearance are evaluated and a winner is announced. Ultimately, each team donates their house to a children’s institution of their choice.

Secret Santa
Secret Santa – depending on region or country, also called “Julklapp” or “Angels and Brats”-  is a pre-Christmas custom that is practiced among colleagues. Its about imaginative giving, fun & games! One team member is randomly selected for another team member, from whom they will then receive a gift. The purchase value is specified at the beginning. Of course, one can also specify a motto or even declare a junk imp (here everyone can bring something they absolutely no longer want to have at home). Once everyone has received a present, a cheerful exchange can begin, which is regulated by a dice game… every six rolled allows the player to exchange his gift (still unopened) with his vis-a-vis. After a predetermined time, the exchange round is over and everyone can open the present they now have.

As one can easily tell… just a traditional Christmas dinner is a thing of the past! A Christmas party should be transformed into an unforgettable experience. With fun activities and pre-Christmas donations one can give the team unique moments that will be remembered.
