Together we make the difference.

…Partnerships drive successful, high-impact events.
Sustainability isn’t a solo endeavor – it works best when everyone is on board. And that’s precisely why engaging with it often begins much earlier than the concrete planning stage: with strong partnerships. This is exactly what SDG 17 of the UN Sustainable Development Goals focuses on. It calls for forging alliances and pooling resources to achieve more together. Because anyone who wants to organize sustainable events shouldn’t just focus on the “WHAT,” but also on the “WITH WHOM.”

Sustainable events particularly benefit from carefully chosen partnerships – for example, with local suppliers, social startups, or initiatives dedicated to environmental protection, inclusion, or education. Such collaborations enrich events with valuable perspectives and transform them into spaces for exchange where expertise and trust converge. Transparency regarding collaborations and their reasons strengthens participant trust and can simultaneously inspire other companies in the industry.
Events are ideal hubs for building partnerships and strengthening networks in the long term. When organizers, venues, service providers, and communities collaborate, they not only generate new ideas but also scalable solutions. This allows for the development of shared sustainability standards—from supply chains to mobility—and their integration within the industry, ensuring that the impact doesn’t end with a single event but is multiplied.

Events are a living example of networking – and therefore an ideal lever for SDG 17. Sustainability is not only implemented here but also made visible through exchange: knowledge is shared, resources are pooled, and new perspectives converge. This fosters innovations that advance the event industry – and have an impact far beyond the individual event.
