I am Anna and I’ve been back on the MR Congress team since February 2023. I was already on board from 2010 to 2017 and thus one of the “returnees”, having gained experience in other industries in the meantime.
I completed my event management studies in London in the early 2000s. It was actually more of a stopgap measure: at the time, there were only 12-month courses in this field at private schools and only with a certificate, a path I didn’t want to take. So why not study abroad and combine the useful with the pleasant? I was already hooked anyway, due to my mother and sister, who had already worked in the event sector for a long time.
I’m a real Berliner and generally always prefer the big city to the sea or the mountains. Yes, it’s always great to see or discover something new, but for me that really always has to be combined with the hustle and bustle of the big city. Two weeks in the middle of nowhere are unimaginable for me.
About the passion for colors & consistencies
My great passion is make-up! What you can create with a wide variety of colors and consistencies never ceases to impress me. If I hadn’t ended up in the event industry, I might have even become a makeup artist.
Since the end of 2019, I have been regularly training in this field and have now also learned how to extend natural nails.
My most exciting event for me so far goes back to 2013. As part of the WEC, we accompanied a “roundtable discussion” on the five continents.
On the one hand, it was very exciting to see how the complete infrastructure of the event was first manufactured in Germany and then traveled around the world.
On the other hand, it was interesting to see how other cultures operate and to get to know them. Of course, it was equally great to travel to foreign countries. In some cases, very close friendships were formed as a result of this event.
